Replacement capital
We help owners release equity in their business, secure in knowledge that they have an equity partner as committed to the business as they are.
Realise the value of your business
You have built up a successful business and are considering an exit. Alternatively, you may want to de-risk your financial position via a partial release of equity and at the same time bring in an external investor to help grow.
Whether you want to pursue new opportunities, are succession planning, or simply want to step away and enjoy the fruits of your labour, we can help you explore all options and de-risk your personal financial position.
What we look for

Profitable
We support profitable companies with an EBITDA of at least £1 million per annum.

Track record
We back companies with a history of growth in revenues and earnings.

Future prospects
We invest in businesses operating in a wide range of sectors that have identifiable growth prospects, and which are active in a large addressable market.

Ambition
We support talented and committed management teams who share the same ambition to grow shareholder value as we do.

Location
We prefer to invest in UK domiciled private companies, often with overseas or global operations.

Level of funding
We can finance businesses with an enterprise value of between £4 million and £40 million, investing up to £20 million per transaction.
How we help you realise value
Maven is actively investing capital from its institutional buyout fund as well as via a comprehensive network of family offices and high net worth individuals, who invest through our established Maven Investor Partner network.

Private Equity
A private equity partnership can enable you to sell your business in part or in full, allowing you to realise the value you have created. Whatever you are looking to achieve from an investment, we will work with you to structure a solution that’s right for the business and the key stakeholders.
How we can help you
Stay invested
We can take a majority stake enabling an owner or founding shareholders to release value but also retain an equity stake, and hand over the day to day running of the business to an executive team. We also take minority stakes allowing an owner to de-risk personally but still retain a controlling position in the business and remain actively involved.
Close at hand
Having a truly regional presence across the UK gives us a different perspective to other private equity firms. We’re well connected to sector specialists, professional advisors and non executive directors and understand the cultural differences from region to region.
Expertise you can call on
Having a structured and planned process in place for a full or partial exit has many advantages. We can help with strengthening boards, succession planning, and exit strategies to ensure that the business is left in safe hands for years to come and safeguards your family or personal legacy.
Flexibility
We provide flexible funding packages and don’t rely on high levels of bank debt to structure our transactions. We can provide a mixture of debt and equity finance to create a plan that’s right for you and the business, exploring all options and working to your timetable.
