In 2026, Maven Investor Partners exited FIS Chemicals, generating a 4.2x return for investors in its deal-by-deal private equity offering. The business was acquired by Shrieve Chemical, a US-based value-added distributor of speciality and commodity chemicals.
Maven first backed FIS Chemicals in 2020 and supported the business through a period of sustained growth. During the investment period, annual revenue increased by more than 160%, while FIS continued to enhance energy usage practices and reduce its environmental impact. As part of its annual ESG report, FIS has committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030 and has reduced annual CO2 emissions by 70% since 2020.
The business develops and manufactures a wide range of specialist chemicals for blue-chip clients across multiple industrial sectors, including oil & gas, renewables, marine, hospitality and logistics. Its solutions are manufactured to the highest industry standards, helping customers improve operational efficiency while minimising waste and harmful by-products.
