About the Fund

The Midlands Engine Investment Fund is a partnership between the British Business Bank and ten Local Enterprise Partnerships in the Midlands. It was created to transform the finance landscape for smaller businesses across the region to enable them to access business loans from £100,000 to £1.5 million to support growth.

MEIF Maven Debt Finance is designed primarily for established, cash generative companies. The finance can be used to support a wide range of funding requirements and access the capital required to accelerate growth.

Recovery Loan Scheme

Maven is also an accredited lender to provide loans through the Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS). The programme supports access to finance for UK businesses as they recover and grow following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Businesses which have taken out a CBILS, CLBILS or BBLS facility are able to access the new scheme.

The repayment period will vary depending on the specific terms of the agreement. The Maven team will discuss repayment terms with you during the application process.

What are the eligibility criteria for funding?

To be eligible for funding, SMEs must be based in the Midlands region and have growth potential. They must also demonstrate a viable business plan and be able to demonstrate how the funding will help them achieve their growth ambitions.
