Founder and CEO, Tom Pickersgill, worked in the private security industry for three years before starting the business, making him well-placed to see a gap in the market. It was clear to Pickersgill that the private security sector needed to embrace technology. The sector is a £5bn marketplace with a high turnover rate, making recruitment costly, particularly as anyone new to the sector needs to go through a thorough vetting process before they can start working. Broadstone’s online platform alleviates these issues, providing solutions to the highly fragmented private security recruitment market which is ripe for disruption.
