In June 2019 Maven realised its investment in Just Trays delivering a 2x return for its VCT investors. Just Trays is the UK’s leading manufacturer of shower trays and related accessories, established in 1988. All product design, development and production are undertaken at its main facility in Leeds. The business sells its range of products direct to trade partners in the construction and housing market.
Maven originally backed the secondary MBO of Just Trays from Gresham Private Equity in June 2014 and has supported the business in becoming one of the UK’s leading independent shower tray manufacturers. The business has established a reputation in the sector for the quality of its products, innovative design and customer service, with high levels of customer loyalty for the JT brand.
We are pleased with the return that we have generated for our investors from the sale of our stake in Just Trays. Despite market pressures, the business has performed strongly and built an excellent reputation in the market for the quality of its products and service.
