Zing, a leading consulting partner of global cloud-communications provider Twilio, has launched as a fully independent company with significant further investment. Maven Investor Partners first backed the business in 2020.

Twilio is the customer engagement platform that drives real-time, personalised experiences for today’s leading brands. Its platform powers trillions of interactions annually to create engaging experiences for their customers. Its portfolio of services includes flagship cloud-based programmable contact centre solution, Twilio Flex.

Based in London, Zing spun out from ProspectSoft just over two years ago, but remained part of the same group. With Maven’s profitable sale of ProspectSoft to The Access Group in July 2022, Zing’s management team has taken the opportunity to launch Zing as a fully independent company.

Born in the pandemic, with backing from Maven, Zing has gone on to deliver amazing customer value, building on the Twilio stack for organisations across the globe, from Asia to America, with a particular focus on the UK.

Now one of the most prolific Twilio Gold Consulting Partners and accelerating growth year on year, Zing expects to grow even faster over the coming years. This latest investment from Maven and Zing’s existing shareholders will enable the business to scale quicker as it enters its next stage of growth.

“We are very excited to provide further investment to support Julian Hucker and the team in the next stage of Zing’s evolution. They have made tremendous progress in recent months and we see a clear opportunity to create a market leading business. We wish the team the best of luck in delivering their future growth plans.”

Tom Purkis, Partner at Maven

“Having just had another record quarter, it’s amazing to reflect on the growth of the business so far. Yet our mission remains clear: to build nothing short of the world’s leading Twilio consulting partner, armed with a centurion of developers - and that requires relentlessly marching forwards.

“This exciting new phase will enable us to do just that as we build for the future. The new investment from our long-term supporters at Maven Capital Partners puts us in a great position to capitalise on the momentum we have. The opportunity we have in front of us is incredible.

Julian Hucker, CEO at Zing

“Our relationship with Zing has continued to go from strength to strength and we look forward to continuing to work with them to bring the Twilio platform to more companies looking to build tailored customer engagement experiences.

“We often talk about having a builder mindset at Twilio, and Zing truly embodies this, showing customers how they can innovate with the Twilio platform, moving away from out of the box solutions to unleash their imagination, creativity and understanding to really meet the needs of their customers.”
