Maven opens Reigate office and expands South East investment team

Maven has expanded its regional presence with the opening of a new office in Reigate, marking a significant milestone in the firm's continued commitment to supporting ambitious businesses across the South East. 

The new office gives Maven a permanent base for working more closely with ambitious businesses, advisers and other members of the regional investment community. It forms part of the firm’s continued expansion across the South East and its wider commitment to building locally based teams with strong regional networks.

The opening follows Maven’s appointment as equity fund manager for the new £210 million South East Investment Fund (SEIF), announced last month, and builds on its track record of managing regional investment mandates on behalf of the British Business Bank.

The South East investment team has welcomed Cait Pilkington, who joins as an Investment Associate, alongside Investment Managers Jonathan Day and Alex Lawrence-Berkeley. Strengthening Maven's presence in the region, they will support investment activity across the South East while contributing to opportunities across the wider business.

Together, they bring experience spanning early-stage investing, corporate law, business operations and technology-led growth. Cait has worked across angel investing, accelerators and investor relations roles within the early stage ecosystem. Jonathan has a strong background in corporate law with operational and investment experience across healthcare and family office backed businesses. Alex has spent the past decade working with start ups across sectors including energy, telecommunications, defence, robotics and artificial intelligence.
