Maven leads funding round in Luna Pet Healthcare

The UK’s first dental-only veterinary business, Luna Pet Healthcare, has secured a £700,000 investment from the South West Investment Fund, managed by Maven, alongside support from existing investors Jenson Funding Partners and new investors Angel Investors Bristol.

Founded in 2024 by Dr Joe Inglis, a qualified veterinarian and pet sector entrepreneur, Luna was created to address a structural gap in the UK veterinary market and to make preventative and restorative dental care more affordable and accessible. Together with co-founder Louise Cooke, the team is helping pets live healthier lives through expert-led, proactive veterinary care and ongoing support.

Luna is on a mission to improve the dental health of the nation’s pets by providing affordable veterinary dental care for dogs and cats through dedicated, dental-only clinics. The business currently operates sites in Bristol and Reading. In addition, Luna has launched a range of preventative dental health products to help pet owners care for their pets’ oral health at home.

The investment will enable Luna to meet growing customer demand and open additional sites across the South West. It will also support the development and marketing of new dental healthcare products, as well as the expansion of the services the business provides.
