The role & responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Build and manage key stakeholder relationships within the Maven group, establishing a good working rapport and effective buy-in of risk management.
- Support the Risk and Compliance team with the delivery of the compliance monitoring programme.
- Maintain and develop Maven and third party risk registers and dashboards.
- Attend and actively contribute at quarterly Risk Committee meetings.
- Support the Risk and Compliance team in overseeing and maintaining good working relationships with key third parties.
- Assist with providing risk and compliance advice and training.
- Provide risk and compliance information for third parties conducting due diligence on Maven (investors, advisors, industry commentators).
- Stay informed about emerging risks and regulatory changes to support the business in ensuring compliance with FCA rules and managing risks effectively.
- Input monthly management account and budget information into internal reporting systems
What you need to succeed
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a risk management and/or compliance role within the financial services industry, with operational resilience oversight experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience of UK regulations, in particular AIFMD.
- Familiarity with risk management or other software systems would be beneficial but not essential.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong critical analysis skills.
- Excellent report writing abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compliance or relevant industry qualifications (such as CISI Investment Operations Certificate) desirable but not essential.
