Maven exited its investment in McKenzie Intelligence Services (MIS) in July 2026, following its acquisition by Verisk, a leading global data analytics and technology provider. The transaction delivered a 3.0x return for the Maven VCTs and a 1.9x return in just over a year for Maven Investor Partners. MIS provides software and services that help insurers, governments and corporations assess and respond to the impact of catastrophic events.
Since Maven’s investment in 2023, the business has increased its UK market share and established a foothold in the US market. During the partnership, MIS secured a number of significant contracts, invested in enhancing its market-leading technology platform and launched new product features that provide clients with enhanced insight into future risk selection.
Maven has been a trusted and supportive partner throughout a period of significant growth for MIS. Together, we have strengthened the business by expanding into the US market, diversifying the customer base and continuing to invest in our technology and operational capabilities.
