Our partnership with Honeypot has enabled us to offer vital support to young carers and disadvantaged children aged 5-12, giving them a much needed break from the challenges they face at home. Honeypot’s wrap around service has been invaluable, creating a safe environment where children can thrive and fulfil their potential.
In July 2023, Honeypot opened its third respite house in Dalleagles, New Cumnock, East Ayrshire, and not long after welcomed the first group of young carers for a weekend of fun away from juggling school with their stressful responsibilities at home. The new facility means that more children will be able to benefit from the crucial support and care that Honeypot provides.
A Year of Fundraising and Community Engagement
Throughout 2023, Maven organised a series of engaging events to raise funds and awareness for Honeypot. From race nights to bake sales, and even a Dolly Parton-themed film night, our team pulled out all the stops to rally support for this worthy cause.
One of the highlights of our fundraising efforts was our participation in the Great Scottish Run, where seven dedicated staff members from our Glasgow office ran in either the 10K or half marathon, embodying our commitment to making a positive impact through both physical and philanthropic endeavours.
Additionally, we had the privilege of gifting Christmas presents to 80 children receiving support at Honeypot’s Dalleagles respite house. Maven staff members volunteered at these heartwarming parties, further strengthening our connection to the community and the cause we passionately support.

The success of our fundraising initiatives in 2023 would not have been possible without the generous contributions and support of our team and donors. Every pound raised has brought us closer to our shared goal of providing vulnerable children with the care and opportunities they deserve.
