Maven announces official sponsorship of Durham Cricket

Maven will partner with the Durham Women’s team, now known as the North East Warriors, who will wear Maven’s logo on their training shirts through to 2025. Maven will support the women’s team as they continue to develop and contribute to the wider scale growth of the women’s game. 

The North East Warriors, formed in 2020, have competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup since 2021, and finished 5th in Group 1 in 2023.

Maven has contributed significantly to growth in the region, launching a Female Founder Funding programme earlier this year to offer valuable resources, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities to women entrepreneurs, assisting them in navigating the complexities of business ownership more effectively.

The agreement continues Maven’s track-record of investment in the North East, with over £50 million  invested in over 40 companies across the region, Maven has created over 1200 new jobs. Running both the North East Development Capital Fund and the Finance Durham Fund, and recently appointed as the equity Fund manager for the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II in the North East, working alongside the British Business Bank in bringing a much-welcomed additional source of funding to the region, one of a series of Nations and Regions Investment Funds launched to deliver £1.6 billion of new funding to smaller businesses across the UK.
