Steve Marshall

Steve joined the Maven team in 2006 (when it was the private equity division at Aberdeen Asset Management) and is based in our Glasgow office. Steve has overall responsibility for VCT fundraising and sales, including maintaining relationships with advisers, wealth managers and key industry commentators. He also works closely with Maven’s marketing, client reporting and compliance teams on behalf of Maven investors.

After serving as a Navigating Officer in the Royal Navy, Steve moved into financial services with Investment and Pensions house London Life, and subsequently held senior roles with Scottish Equitable, Friends Provident, Liverpool Victoria and AXA, where he led sales and regional teams focused on corporate pensions and investment planning, developed sales and marketing strategies, and focused on managing national relationships with major corporate accounts and business partners. At Friends Provident he was also selected for its European Management Programme, helping lead collaborative projects with European partner companies.
Steve has a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.

Outside of work Steve enjoys time with his family, watching rugby, travelling, photography and genealogy research.
