    Richard joined Maven in January 2022 to lead Maven’s MEIF team in the West Midlands. He is based in our Birmingham office and is responsible for sourcing and completing new debt finance transactions alongside the West Midlands team.

    Prior to joining Maven, Richard had a banking career spanning 34 years, during which time he has gained significant experience across a variety of business sectors from roles covering deal origination, portfolio and risk management and acquisition and investment finance.

    Richard has been an Associate of the Institute of Bankers for over 25 years.

    Away from work, Richard enjoys long walks with his family, casual golf (emphasis on “casual”) and watching motorsport and rugby.

    I’ve always received a great deal of satisfaction in supporting owners and management teams to achieve their goals in business, and funding available via the Midlands Engine Investment Fund is an excellent way to provide this support, beyond traditional debt facilities, particularly to promote growth and job creation in their local community.
