Nicola joined Maven in January 2026 and is based in our Glasgow office. Her role focuses on portfolio management across Scotland, working closely with investee management teams to support on strategy, growth and value creation.
Prior to joining Maven, Nicola worked in the Corporate Development team at The Weir Group plc where she supported divisional strategic initiatives, including investment appraisals, M&A activity, new technology assessments and geographical expansion. Before that, Nicola spent 14 years at Grant Thornton UK LLP, predominantly in the Transaction Advisory team where she provided financial due diligence, SPA advisory and reporting accountant services to Scottish SME’s and their funders across multiple sectors.
Nicola holds an Honours Degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Accountant with ICAS.
Outside of work Nicola enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is passionate about health and wellbeing and is a qualified Personal Trainer and Women’s Health Coach.
