The steps involved in securing a GMLF loan are similar to the process of applying for bank funding. It is always our aim to ensure that our dialogue with management is effective and consistent, and that a company’s experience in dealing with us is as straightforward as possible.
In providing a GMLF loan, we place a great deal of importance on the strength and experience of the management team, as we believe that ultimately it is people who drive success within a business. We therefore aim to meet management as early as possible, so that we can start to build an understanding of the business, its key drivers, and the market in which it operates.
To help us do this we require a comprehensive business plan, financial forecasts (typically at least three years), and historic financial information. We then undertake both internal and external due diligence on the investment opportunity to ensure that we are able to deliver the right funding package for the business.
Assuming that we have access to all of the necessary information, we aim to deliver a tailored funding package within six to eight weeks from receipt of a business plan.
