In early 2015, Maven clients invested £2.4 million to fund the purchase and conversion of 333 Bath Street in Glasgow into a new 70 bed student residence. Alongside modest bank debt, the investment was used to convert the property into contemporary studio accommodation, ideal for attracting the burgeoning international and post graduate student population in the City.
The eight month refurbishment saw the property completed in time for the start of the 2014/15 academic year. Glasgow has one of the most undersupplied student accommodation markets in the UK and this property is perfectly located in the City Centre, within a short distance from several higher education establishments.
Following completion Maven sold 333 Bath Street to Empiric Student Property plc, for £7.45 million.
