With its UK headquarters in Bicester, Hardide is globally recognised for developing and providing advanced nano-technology tungsten carbide metal matrix coatings, which are used to help organisations increase the lifespan and optimise the performance of vital metal components which operate in abrasive, erosive and chemically aggressive environments. Some of Hardide’s customers include: Airbus, BAE Systems, Leonardo Helicopters, EDF Energy and Royal Mail.
In 2020, the company was awarded one of the most prestigious business accolades in the UK, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade. The company won the Queen’s Award for Outstanding Short-Term Growth in Overseas Sales. This achievement really shows that Hardide is a prime example of an innovative local SME receiving MEIF Debt Funding to support SEMLEP’s growing advanced technology engineering field.
(Funding was supported by the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme).

The opportunity to work with Maven to secure additional working capital to strengthen the balance sheet comes at a very important time, as we further develop exciting plans in the aerospace, alternative energy, and steam and gas turbine blade sectors.
