We are currently recruiting for a Reporting and AML Administrator/Analyst to join Maven’s Manchester office.
The role will involve co-ordinating Regional Fund reporting (including to investors and government stakeholders), external audit and output monitoring. Providing written and numerical reports and data to the wider Maven team updating on the status of the Fund periodically.
To work within the AML team processing and completing AML checks in a timely manner to an FCA appropriate level, assessing the level of checks required. Assisting to set up and improve procedures across the reporting team function.

The Role and Responsibilities
- Collate and compile monthly and quarterly investor reports for the British Business Bank (BBB), using Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ensuring that all are presented to the highest standards and are aligned across multiple funds to strict deadlines. This will include liaising with Fund Managers to ensure accuracy across the reports and maintaining appropriate backup data and record keeping.
- Monitoring performance against Fund objectives and targets including maintaining records and electronic files to ensure that any audits would be able to provide the appropriate data on request.
- Maintain and promote high levels of data quality in relation to the Fund’s CRM system – working closely with the investment team and finance team to ensure all relevant information is captured for accurate and timely reporting to BBB.
- Liaise with portfolio companies to ensure Fund payments are made on time and non-financial outputs relevant to the Fund are recorded.
- Running and advising on AML processes across the business ensuring that appropriate checks are completed at the correct time and in a timely manner. Being the first line of contact for any AML queries.

What you need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience in an environment such as venture investing, corporate finance, SME funding, strategy consulting or professional advisory including law, or other experience directly concerning high growth SMEs and their funding.

- Analytical – enjoys working with data to spot trends and understanding of when to follow up on them.

- Problem Solving – ability to solve problems using commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills – including the ability to work with large datasets on Excel, using pivot tables and formulas.
- Record keeping – ability to be organised in their approach, keeping and maintaining orderly records.
- Knowledge of FCA regulations – General Investments and Data Protection would be an advantages.
Desirable:
Whilst there are various relevant backgrounds and routes to this role, including but not limited to accountancy, banking, corporate finance, consultancy and advisory; a strong grasp of business and finance is essential and experience in the transaction or investment community would be advantageous.
